Welcome to the Ziegler family Mountain Star Ranch located in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.  With a superb location nestled in a secluded valley high in the Rockies, Mountain Star Ranch offers you 873 acres of scenic hiking, exploring, ATV rides and superb horseback riding. Or, you can just settle back and relax by a fire.

Bordering thousands of acres decorated with aspens and ponderosa pines, spruce, fir and lush high meadows, this retreat is located near the quaint and former mining town of Guffey, Colorado. The ranch is just 25 miles from the casinos of historic Cripple Creek, and 35 miles north of Canon City and the famous Royal Gorge Recreation Area.  Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin are an hour and twenty minutes away, and gold medal trout fishing in the South Platte River is 40 minutes away.

Nestled in a majestic Rocky Mountain canyon you will find the 7,600 sq.ft. log home at Mountain Star Ranch secluded at the end of a private mile long winding road through aspen and ponderosa pines, and secured by two electronic gates. This logger is built of Montana pine logs that enclose a living space with wide open spaces, vaulted ceilings, soaring floor to ceiling windows, stained glass and an inside pond and waterfall. An architecturally unique covered walkway connects the house with the barn, featured in Horse Connection Magazine as one of the best private horse barns in America.

This property will provide you and your group quite seclusion, moderate mountain weather, year-round accessibility and abundance of wildlife.
